Who's the real sufferer....

Here is an untold story of Mr. Chandraman Subba who is suffering from bone cancer, since the fall of 2008. He used to be a man of strong determination. When his house got fire last summer he reacted very calm saying, 'that’s ok we’ll built another house’ and so was it , but today, lying in the bed makes him impatience. How? Why?

Mr. Chandraman subba and Mrs. Dhanmati Subba (the wife) earn their living by selling home made liquor, milk and vegetables. Actually, their average income per month is much better than the other families in India, but due to lots of children in the family (11members including the parents) they have hard times. Though for Mr. Chandraman, he had an easy life mingling around with drunker and playing cards (poker). Unfortunately, last summer he found out about his sickness, which started from the infection of his wrist. Now, he lies in the bed whole day and waits for his family to feed him. He cannot move himself; always need somebody to help him even to the loo. Whereas for Mrs. Dhanmati, a typical Nepali woman who always stays by her husband side whatever! She is the wheel of the family, now she had to work even harder than before for the additional medical expenses. Her day starts with the brewing of wine at 4:00 am, milk the cow, feed the pigs, ducks, and hens, send the children to school, look after her sick husband etc…. Is she the one who suffers ?

Here’s another part of the story.

Smile that keeps you alive!

Who is burden?
Parvati, the eldest daughter of Mr. Chandraman cooks for the family and sometime helps her mother in preparing rokshi (wine in Local dialect). Earlier she used to work in the cafeteria but she had to give up due to her need in the family.

Tulki, the third daughter of the family is studying in grade 7, at the same time she helps her sister in taking care of her siblings by maintaining little hygiene etc..

Putali, the fifth daughter getting ready for her homework (Her task is to collect fodder for cow)
Who do you think is suffering? The father, who needs peace? the mother who needs rest or the Children, who needs to be loved and cared…….

Pray for this family
